​The Dental Practice                       

We welcome all children and have a large list of youngsters at the practice. Our emphasis on preventing dental problems is especially important for children to ensure healthy habits from an early age. We encourage two check ups a year for all patients under the age of eighteen.

Fluoride Treatments
We can provide  fluoride treatments for all children up to the age of eighteen at check up visits. This can reduce the need for fillings by up to half in some individuals.

Free dietary advice 
We will risk assess all children for all dental problems and provide free advice on diet, cleaning teeth and any other preventive strategies we feel may be appropriate.

Orthodontic Monitoring 
We will monitor all children for crowding or mal positioning 
of their teeth and refer appropriately to our NHS orthodontic practices.

Fissure Sealants 
Our hygienist provides a valuable preventive service to children by sealing the cracks in their teeth to prevent holes from developing. These are painted on with the minimum of fuss and prevent more complicated fillings at a later age.

Sports Mouth Guards 
We dont think that the ready made, off the shelf sport guards provide the best protection from trauma. We can provide more substantial and better fitting guards that do a superior job.
